Roxbury Township, Mr. Heinz W Spiegel, 92, died on December 20, 2022 at home in Succasunna. Born in Trebnitz, Germany he grew up during WWII. After working on farms and in the coal mines of Essen he came to the United states in 1952. He was soon drafted by the US Army and was shipped to Korea. He attained the rank of corporal and made his US citizenship in Japan. After receiving honorable discharge he took to a career as setup man/tool maker for miniature screw machines at All Right Pen Factory in Hackensack. He was also a volunteer fireman for Washington Twp. in Bergen Cty. and did various other jobs as a mason’s assist., road dept. worker and even built his entire garage for his first home with little help. He would later join the Swisscomatic company based in Cedar Knolls and finish out in a subsidiary, Cape Swiss in Rio Grande NJ before retiring to his home in Cape May Courthouse. There he lived for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering around the house.
He was predeceased by his wife Frances Spiegel in 2020, and is survived by his son Steven H Spiegel, his wife Debbie and granddaughter Amber along with her partner Andrew Perez, all of Succasunna.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11 am, followed by the interment at the George Washington Memorial Cemetery in Paramus.
