Mt. Arlington,   Mr. Harold F Mabee (65) died on January 3, 2011 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. He was born and raised in Dover and lived in Mt. Arlington for 35 years. He served in the U S Army during the Viet Nam War in the 1^st Calvary Division and earned 2 Bronze Stars and many other medals. He earned his BS from Lincoln Memorial University and his Master’s from East Tennessee State University in Biology. He was a microbiologist and chemist of perfumes at Disperse Technologies in Paramus before retiring in 2007. He was a devoted member and Past Commander of the Kenvil V F W Post #2833 and was the current District #10 Commander of the State of N J. He was also a member of the Viet Nam Veterans of America. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, camping, and canoeing, and was a member of the Knee Deep Club and enjoyed fishing on Lake Hopatcong. He was a loving family man who cherished his wife and children. He gave much of his life to his community and charitable organizations and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Susan A (Nesbihal) of 43 years, son Brian Mabee of New York City, daughter Deanna (and Christopher) Glory of Independence Twp. He also leaves his mother Dorothy Mabee of Port Richey, FL and grandson Matthew Glory of Independence Twp.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 10 am at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Andover.
