Stanhope NJ, Mrs. Germaine Maignan, 85, died on October 31, 2014 at home. She was born in Port-Au-Prince in Haiti and arrived in the United States in 1963 settling in Brooklyn, NY, for many years. She then retired to North Miami, FL in 1983. In 2004 she traveled from Florida to New York every year until 2010. She then moved to Stanhope, NJ to live with her daughters after her husband past away. She was a Dietary and Hospitality worker at the Long Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.  

 She was predeceased by her husband Vertus in 2004 and by her daughter Viviane Perpignan in 2013. She is survived by her two daughters: Marie Maignan and Gina Maignan, both of Stanhope, 6 grandchildren; Murielle and Fahimie Tassy, Cindy Pojo, Teddy Perpignan, Steven White, and step grandson Demitry Tassy, 2 son-in-laws Rodrique Tessy and Junior Pojo, and great granddaughter Anai Pojo.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday from 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Survive will be held on Saturday, 10 am, at the Funeral Home with the Interment to follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Linden.
