Roxbury Township, Mrs. Georgia L Best, 83 died on June 25, 2014 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was born in Dover and lived most of her life in Kenvil. She was a homemaker, avid bowler, member of the Roxbury Township Senior Citizens Club, and enjoyed crocheting many special treasures for her family and friends. She spent endless time spoiling her two cats, and was a loyal NY Mets Fan.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald Best, of 62 years, in 2011 and mother Alvaretta Carlson. She is survived by her 3 children, Richard (and Nancy) of Tannersville, PA, Robert (and Linda) of Mount Olive Township, and Cindy (and Doug) Ernst of Stillwater, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister Harriet Waldron of Independence Twp. and sister-in-law, Terry Walby. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins, dedicated friend and neighbor Denise, and life-long friends, the Beaudry family.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Saturday, July 5th, from 3-6pm, with a service at 5pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Compassionate Care Hospice, Sparta, NJ 07871.
