
Roxbury Township – Georganne Elaine (Howell) Pisorchik, passed away peacefully at her home in Landing, NJ on July 9th, 2025. She was born in Dover, NJ and grew up in Succasunna, before moving to Landing 57 years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband; Fred Pisorchik Jr. (6/21/2024), her parents; Fidelia Harwood (Haggerty) Howell and Clarence Slidell Howell; her sister and brother’s; Clarence Slidell Howell, Jr. (June), Leroy David Howell (Beeze), Gloria Jean (Howell) Barrett and John Dunning Howell (Jack).
She is survived by her children; Daughter – Kim (Pisorchik) & Kenneth Smith, Jr. and Son – Fred Pisorchik, III; Her Grandchildren; Kenneth Lee Smith, III & Amanda Wagner, Maura Sage Smith & Thomas Tusinac and Sean Clarence Smith.
She was blessed with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, too numerous to mention.
Georganne graduated from Roxbury High School in 1963 and continued her education at Cambridge School of Business, graduating in 1964.
She and her husband, Fred were married 10/25/1964 and started their family shortly after. In 1982, Georganne became a paraprofessional at Franklin School and retired from Nixon School in 2013. In 2004, she was received the “Hometown Hero Award” at Lincoln Roosevelt School.
She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna since birth. She served as an Elder, Deacon and taught Sunday School.
In addition to her Family, Friends, School Staff and her Church Family, Georganne would like to thank her doctors and nurses over the last (28) years for their unwavering support through her journey with cancer. Her care continued with Nurse, Helen Primavera and Aide, Anita Jainarine. The care and support of these two women was compassionate and devout.
Funeral Services will be held at The First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna at 10:00 on Saturday, August 2, 2025 (her 80th birthday), followed by lunch in the Church Hall at 11:00. Interment will be held at 1:30 at Beemerville Cemetery – Country Road 519, Wantage, NJ (Sussex County).
