Evelyn Reid Van Demark

Mt. Arlington, NJ  Evelyn Reid Van Demark, age  95, passed away on February 13, 2014 at the Regency Grande Nursing Home in Dover. She was born in Passaic, N.J. and then lived for many years in Budd Lake, where she and her late husband, Elmer “Red” owned the Outlook Station and Luncheonette. She was a past President and honorary member of the Budd Lake Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. After retirement, she and her husband lived in Treasure Island, Florida where she was active in the Red Hat Ladies. She returned to New Jersey to reside at Mount Arlington Senior Living and most recently at the Regency Grand Nursing Home.

She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer “Red” Van Demark , her daughter Barbara Ogden and son-in-law Frank Ogden.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth (and Charleen) Van Demark, and by her daughter Sandra (and Robert) Walton. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; Lauren (and Douglas) Roskos, David Walton, Craig (and Carla) Van Demark, and Julie (and Wayne) Grenewicz as well as nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna (973)-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 4 – 7 pm, followed by a service from 7 pm to 8 pm.
