Mrs. Elizabeth Jean “Betty” Hopler, age 85, of North Palm Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2015 following a short illness. She was born on January 18, 1930 in Port Morris to the late Alden E. and Lenora (Reed) Hueber. She grew up in Kenvil, graduated from Roxbury High School, and lived in Flanders for many years before moving to Florida four years ago. Following high school, she worked at Picatinny Arsenal before raising her family and later worked for the Mount Olive School District. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Flanders.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Clifford L. Hopler in 1983, and her brother Alden “Pete” Hueber, she is survived by sons Robert A. (Denise) Hopler of North Palm Beach, FL and Jack D. (Cynthia) Hopler of Hackettstown; brother Allen (Dorothy) Hueber of Hackettstown, and four grandchildren: Amy (Samuel) Ramage of Indianapolis; Sarah (Ronald) Cravens of Jupiter, FL; Jaclyn Hopler of Ventnor City; and Kyle Hopler of Hackettstown.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday, August 28 at 12 noon, followed by the interment at the Union Cemetery in Hackettstown. Friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Friday from 11 am – 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation in honor of Betty’s life to your favorite charity.
