Eleanor Gail Carson

Roxbury Township,  Mrs. Eleanor Gail Carson, 80, died on November 4, 2022 with her loving husband and children at her side. She was born in Paterson, NJ on  June 14, 1942. She grew up in Wayne, NJ  and was part of the first graduating class of Depaul High School.  She and her husband, William  moved to Roxbury in 1974. She was a bookkeeper for the family business Plains Pharmacy in Budd Lake for 23 years.  During their 57 years of marriage Gail and her husband Bill traveled extensively. They also lived in North Carolina and Waretown NJ before moving back to Roxbury to be close to their children and grandchildren. She was an avid golfer. She was also a member of Panther Valley Golf Club and Brick Landing Plantation Golf Club for years where she won numerous titles and awards. She was also an excellent tennis player. Gail  loved the beach and collecting sea glass. She also  enjoyed being creative with quilting and home decor. Gail especially  loved the holidays, always making the next one better than the last.  Her ultimate joy though, was being with family and attending the many events her 14 grandchildren were involved in. 

 She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband William Walter Carson of 57 years, and by her 5 children; Karen Bode of Pompton Plains (and Jay) ,  William Walter Carson Jr.  (and Donna Marie) , of Newton Michael Carson (and Debra) of Little Egg Harbor,  Jennifer (and Anthony) Perhacs, of Mt. Arlington, Amy (and Timothy) Steele of Oxford and 14 grandchildren; William III, Anthony Jr., Tommy, Ryan, Kayla, Jay, Nathan, Elizabeth, Madison, Riley, Jack, Sean, Carson and Cameron. 

 Friends and family may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ. (973)-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday, November 9th from 4 – 8 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, NJ on Thursday, November 10th, at 10 am, followed by the interment at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
