Spring Hill, FL  Mr. Edward C Begraft, 83, died on July 4, 2014 at the Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill. He was born and raised in Succasunna, before moving to Spring Hill in 1997. He was a 1949 graduate of Roxbury High School and later attended Arizona State University in Temple, AZ.  He was a Sales Director for Horizon Blue Cross / Blue Shield of NJ until his retirement in 1986. He served in the U S Air Force in Korea during the War and received several awards including the Korean Service Medal and 2 Battle Stars. He later became a life member of the VFW Post #2933 in Kenvil, NJ. He was an avid golfer, member of the Timber Pines Country Club in Spring Hill, and  formerly of the Water Gap Country Club in PA. He was also an avid photographer and dancer.

 He was predeceased by his father John H Begraft, mother Leona Begraft Clark (and her second husband Louis Clark), sister Betty Mae Schimenick, beloved brother John H Begraft (and his wife Bonnie Belle and their son Christopher).

 He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor ( Garrigus ), sons; Craig (and Debra) Begraft of Kenvil, NJ and Scott (and Carol) Begraft of Mine Hill, 3 grandchildren;  Kevin (and Jennifer), Sean, and Ashley, and 2 great granddaughter’s Audrey and Kelsey.

 Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Tuesday from 5 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 10 am, at the Funeral Home with the interment and Military Honors to follow at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
