Hackettstown, NJ     Mrs. Dorothy S Greer, 91, died on June 26, 2011 at the House of the Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born in Orange and grew up in Newark and graduated from the Newark Westside High School. She was a graduate of the Berkley Secretarial School in E. Orange and of the Newark School of Fine & Industrial Arts. She then served in the U S Navy during WW II. She then raised her family in Cedar Grove and lived in Reeders, PA for 22 years before moving to Hackettstown 8 months ago. She was a member of the Pocono Garden Club and the Red Hat Society. For many years she volunteered her time at the Pocono Medical Center in E. Stroudsburg, PA.

She was predeceased by her husband Matthew, of 64 years, in 2007, and is survived by her 3 daughters; Susan (and Jim) Lothian of Succasunna, Karen Greer of Hackettstown, and Wendy (and Jim) Maciaszek of Byram Twp., 5 grandchildren; Dr. Amy Lothian, James Lothian, Matthew Fara, Jamie Maciaszek and Michael Maciaszek, and great grandson Dimitri R Teas.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, with the interment to follow at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
