Mt. Arlington, Doris “Dee” Merelo, 78, a longtime resident of Roxbury passed away suddenly on Oct 22nd at home. Dee was born and raised in South Jersey where she learned to sail at a young age. She was an avid painter and loved creating folk art and crafts.

Predeceased by her parents and a brother, Robert Hamilton, Dee is survived by her sister, Bernice White and husband Jim of the villages, FL, two daughters Wendy Zawislak and husband Craig of Green Township, NJ, Dawn Green, a grandson Chris Merelo and wife Carrie of SC, granddaughters Paige Zawislak and Jenna Zawislak of NJ and four great-grandchildren Collin Merelo, Cody Merelo, Colt Merelo and Cabrie Merelo of SC, several nieces and nephews as well as many longtime friends.

Visiting will be held at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ  973-584-7264  (davishepplewhitefh.com) on October 29^thfrom 3 – 6 pm.
