Charles “Charlie” Bolline

Roxbury Township, Mr. Charles Bolline, 94, died on September 25, 2020 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home. “Charlie” was born in Jersey City, grew up in the Bronx, NY and raised a family in Saddle Brook, NJ before moving to Succasunna 8 years ago. He served in the Army Air Corp during WW II. For many years he was a Tele-Communications Manager for IBM in White Plains, NY. A long time member of St. Philip The Apostle parish in Saddle Brook, where he served as an usher and member of the Holy Name Society. Upon moving to Succasunna, he joined the parish of St. Therese R C in Succasunna.

He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Mary (Cherry) Bolline in 2018 and by his son Charles Bolline in 2008. He is survived by his children; Dorothy (and Russell) Van Houten of Succasunna, Frances (and Ed) Garrison of Jackson, PA, and Richard (and Julie) Bolline of Middletown, Delaware. He also leaves his daughter-in-law Pam Bolline of Wyckoff, NJ, 8 grandchildren; Russell, Eric, Michael, Kristen, Graham, Lauren, Jennifer and Jarrod and 7 great grandchildren; Russell, Matthew, Jenna, Cordelia, Audrey, Whitney, and
Charlie.

“Charlie” was loved by everyone for his kindness, warmth, and caring. He will be remembered as a man devoted to his family, who will miss him terribly.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10 am at St. Therese R C Church with Military Honors. The burial service will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. Arrangements are by the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973/584/7264.
