Bonnie D Cutting

Long Valley/Chester, Mrs. Bonnie (Dietz) Cutting, 73, died on April 12, 2014 at her home.  She was born in Syracuse,  New York and lived in Mountainside and North Plainfield before moving to Long Valley 44 years ago.  She was a Graduate of Glasboro State College (now Rowan) where she earned her BA in Art.  She was an art teacher in Bridgewater before having children, and was a substitute teacher in the Long Valley School System.  She was a Deacon at the Flanders United Presbyterian Church as well as a member of the church choir.  She loved music, and was part of a women’s barbershop group called “Sweet Adelines”. She also loved horseback riding when she was young, and was on the U.S. Equestrian Team.  She loved the ocean, Beach Haven on Long Beach Island was a favorite family destination.

  
She is survived by her husband of 47 years  Harold W. Cutting, 2 daughters Catherine Elizabeth “Betsy” Coy (and husband Brian) of Chelsea, Michigan and Kristi Cutting (and husband Chris Chan) of Succasunna.  She also leaves 3 grandchildren; Maddison Coy, Alexander Coy and Collin Chan, and a brother Phillip Dietz.

 
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the Flanders United Presbyterian Church, 58 Drakesdale Road, Flanders, New Jersey 07836.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Bonnie to Goryeb Children’s Hospital/Morristown Memorial in Morristown.  Arrangements are by the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com)
