Honesdale, PA     Mrs. Betty Jo McCollum, 80, died on October 11, 2011 at home. She was born and raised on Roxbury Township, where she lived most of her life before moving to Honesdale 30 years ago. Many years ago she was a secretary at the Lee’s Insurance Agency in New Jersey. She was a former member of the Succasunna United Methodist Church, volunteered at the Wayne County Hospital, and loved to counter cross stitch and crochet.

She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Rose Noack, and was predeceased by her husband Ronald in 1986, brother Alfred Noack, and 3 sisters; Alice Lindstedt, Gertrude Reilly, and Lois Noack. She is survived by her 6 nieces and nephew; Colleen and George Taylor of Daytona Beach, FL, Patricia and Dave Morrow of Indian Lake, NY, Mickey and Beverly Reilly of PA, Gail and Jack Bartels of CO, Drew and Carol Lindstedt of Lake Shawnee, NJ, Gay McGraw of NJ, and Joy Turner of CT, several great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews,  and very dear friends Chris and Pat Courtright of Honesdale, PA.

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 10 am, at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Pottersville Reform Church Cemetery in Pottersville, NJ. Donations may be made in her name to the Wayne County Hospital Auxiliary, in Honesdale, PA 18431.
