Arthur L Servidio, Jr

Roxbury Township, Mr. Arthur L Servidio, Jr., 75, died on April 24, 2021. Born in Seattle, Washington, to parents Gertrude Bowen and Arthur Servidio Sr., he spent the first decade of his childhood in Alaska before moving to Brooklyn at the age of 11. He lived in Brooklyn until his 30s before moving to Roxbury 40 years ago. From 1967 – 1973, he served in the US Army when he was drafted for the Vietnam War and later in the Army Reserves. He completed two Masters Degrees in Mathematics and Physics, then worked as an Electronics Engineer and Physicist at the military’s research and development center, Picatinny Arsenal, for around 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, hiking, science fiction (such as the original Star Trek), history documentaries, and the pursuit of knowledge through solving complex theoretical physics problems.

 He is survived by his wife Isha ( nee Shiwram ) Servidio; by his two sons Michael and Richard; and his sisters Roseanne Cox and Karen Liquori. He was predeceased by his three brothers; Fred Hutchison, Gary Hutchison, and Richard Hutchison.  

 Arrangements are by the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, N.J. 973-584-7264 www.davishepplewhitefh.com The Funeral Liturgy, with Military Honors, will be held at 10a.m. on Friday,  April 30, at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, followed by an interment at Arlington National Veteran’s Cemetery in VA.
