Allamuchy Twp.   Mr. Arthur G Olsen, (93) died on December 6, 2010 at Hackettstown Community Hospital.  He was born in Maspeth, Queens, NY and grew up in Richmond Hill, NY.  He also lived in East Meadow (L.I.) and Succasunna for 28 years before moving to Panther Valley 6 years ago.  He served in the U S Army during WW II.  He worked for the Nabisco Co. in East Hanover, for 48 years, starting in the mail room and working his way up to become the Director of Transportation before retiring in 1983. He was an avid golfer and loved reading.

He was predeceased by his wife Theresa, of 51 years, in 1998.  He is survived by his 3 sons; Robert (and Kathi) Olsen of Massapequa, NY, Alfred (and Donna) Olsen of Brockport, NY and Deacon Bruce Olsen of Allamuchy Twp., 5 grandchildren; Kathleen Olsen, Erika Mauro, Kristin Olsen, Casey Hanaburgh, and Jamie Olsen, and by his great grandson Jackson Hanaburgh.

Friends may visit the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St, Succasunna, (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9pm.  The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, 10am, at St. Therese R C Church, with the interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.  Donations may be made in his name to the NJ Foundation for the Blind (www.njffb.org).
