Roxbury Township, Mr. Raymond J McCaffrey, Sr., 87, died on April 8, 2019 at his home. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Succasunna 62 years ago. He served in the U S Army during the Korean War and later earned his BS Degree on Aeronautical Engineering from Tri-State University in Indiana. He was a retired Aerospace Engineer at Picatinny Arsenal where he worked for more than 40 years. He was also a member of St. Therese R C Church In Succasunna.

He was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann McCaffrey in 1972, son Raymond J McCaffrey, Jr. in 1976, and by his brother Thomas McCaffrey, Jr. in 1981.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa Ann McCaffrey of Succasunna and Daniel J (and Christine) McCaffrey of Succasunna, and by his 3 grandchildren; Mary Ann Torre, Peter Jude Torre, and Theresa Lynn Torre, all of Oradell, NJ.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ  973-584-7264  (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Saturday, from  9 – 11 am. The Funeral Service will be held at, 11 am, at the Funeral Home with Military Honors. The interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in East Hanover.
