Sparta Township, Mr. Christopher H Xenitelis, 76, died on December 13, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was born in Bloomfield and lived in Succasunna from 1973-1982. He then returned to Bloomfield before moving to Sparta with his son 3 years ago. He was an auto mechanic and owner of the Hanover Park Mobil Service Station in Whippany from 1972-1982. He then became a parts manager for Grecco Auto Body in Dover and worked for Performance Trailer in Mt. Olive. He was also a stained glass artist, made furniture, and was a commercial pilot many years ago.

He is survived by his former wife Suzanne Rhodes of Westwood, 3 children; Michael Xenitelis of Sparta, Penny Lopez of Westwood, and Harry Xenitelis of Prescott, AZ. He also leaves his 4 grandchildren; Allyson and Peter Solvang, and Jake and Anna Xenitelis, and 2 sisters; Sis Kohler and Cli Axt both of Boonton.
