Roxbury Township, Mrs. Jean Therese Rich, 96 died on December 3, 2024 at the Oakland Care Center. She was born in Newark NJ and lived in Roxbury for a total of 50+years. She was a retired bookkeeper for A & P in Ledgewood and Randolph NJ. She was an original member of St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, Succasunna NJ.

Jean took great pride in being active in her communities. She was a volunteer at both Sommerville Medical Center in Sommerville SC and Muhlenberg Hospital in Bethlehem PA.

Jean was quite active in the churches she was a member of. At St Dunstan’s she served on the Altar Guild and Prayer Shawl Ministry, as well as providing Pastoral Care. Jean was also on the Altar Guild at St Paul’s in SC and Cathedral Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem PA. She held the role of Treasurer ECW and provided Pastoral Care at St Paul’s .

She is predeceased by her husband James Maloney 1953, Her husband Charles Walter Rich 2004, and by her daughter Cathleen Toth in 2010. She is survived by her 4 children, Kevin (Michelle) Rich of Edison NJ, Brian (Susan) Rich of Richmond VA, Charles Alan (Beatriz) Rich of Reno Nevada, and Cynthia (Glenn) Boyd of Oakland NJ. She also leaves her sister Virginia Pope of Wallingford CT., 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Her celebration of life and internment will be held at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Succasunna on Saturday December 14th 2024 at 11am.
