Mt. Arlington, Mrs. Wanda Michaels Peterson, 77, died on October 31, 2011 at St. Clare’s Kindred Hospital in Dover.  She was born in Oakland, CA and grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.  She lived in upstate NY after marriage, and later lived in Morris Plains for 10 years, Princeton for 21 years, and then Mt. Arlington since 2009.  She was a homemaker and earned her BA in Arts and her MA in Education from the University of Michigan.  Mrs. Peterson was an active member of the Morristown Welcome Wagon club while living in Morris County.

Mrs. Peterson is survived by her husband Robert of 52 years, 3 children; Kirsten Peterson (and husband Dan Leslie) of Canberra, Australia, Erik (and Lenette) Peterson of Merrimack, NH, and Zoe (and Todd) Ward of Chester, NJ, 5 grandchildren; Sheila, Rebecca, Mika, Tucker, and Cooper, and sister Irene Love of Punta Gorda, FL.
