Roxbury Township, Mrs. Susan M Padfield, 67, passed away on March 22, 2014 at her home, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Ridley Park, Pa., Susan and her husband Jim moved to Succasunna in 1975. She earned her bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg State College, became a teacher in Jefferson Township and later a librarian for the Washington Boro Board of Education. Susan was an active member of the Succasunna First Presbyterian Church, sang in the choir, served on the Board of Deacons, and was Co-Moderator of the Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed theatre trips with friends and painting with the Society of Decorative Painters. Her happiest times were spent with friends and family, especially Hadley and Reid.

 She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years Jim Padfield, sons; Adam and his wife Paige Padfield and David Padfield (all) of Succasunna, grandchildren; Hadley and Reid, and brother Stephen and his wife Mary Meell of Wheaton, IL.

 A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, at 3 pm, at the Succasunna First Presbyterian Church.
