Mt. Olive Township,  Mrs. Shirley E Reid, 86, died on September 4, 2011 at St Clare’s Hospital in Dover. She was born in Minersville, PA and grew up in Paterson, where she lived for most of her life, before moving to Budd Lake 16 years ago. She was a retired Nurse’s Aide at the Westmont Nursing Home in Paterson and a former member of St. Marty’s R C Church in Paterson.

She was predeceased by her husband David Lee Reid in 1968 and is survived by her 3 children; Loretta D Reid of Budd Lake, David L Reid, Jr., of Totowa, and Darlene M Reid of Mt. Arlington, 3 grandchildren; Nicole, David, and Daniel Reid, and 3 great grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com on Wednesday from 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be on Thursday, 11 am, at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in Succasunna.
