Scott T Huguenin

Scott Thomas Huguenin, 47, of Wharton, passed away on August 10, 2012 at home.  Scott, the son of the late Thomas and Mary Ann Huguenin, was raised in Sayreville  and was a graduate of Rutgers University.  He was a teacher for over 20 years starting his teaching career at Our Lady of Victories School in Sayreville and teaching for almost 20 years in Roxbury N.J.  Scott was a well loved teacher by his students and peers and was teacher of the year in 2010.  He was actively involved with his students in extracurricular activities such as Odyssey of the Mind and the Chess Club.  Scott was also a productive playwright as a member of The Work In Progress and the 12 Miles West Playwriting group having his plays performed in both N.J. and N.Y.

He is survived by his siblings Michelle Huguenin of Sayreville, Mary Charmello and her husband, Jim of Sayreville, Marc Huguenin and his wife, Lisa of Princeton, and Jeff Huguenin and his wife, Beth of Howell; his nieces Olivia, Bree, Sara, Emily and his nephew, Harrison.

Visitation will be on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home 96 Main Street, Succasunna (973-584-7264) from 3:30pm to 6:30pm and on Wednesday at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy (732-727-0666) from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  Funeral services will immediately follow Wednesday’s visitation with private interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Amboy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the creation of the Scott Huguenin Scholarship Fund, c/o  Marc Huguenin, 1017 Canal Road, Princeton, NJ 08540, for the enrichment of students.
