Roxbury Township, Mr. Robert John Ward, 92, died on February 9, 2015 at the Regency Grande Nursing Home in Dover. He was born in Utica, NY and grew up in Hillside, NJ. Following his retirement, he lived in Florida and then Mt. Arlington before moving to Ledgewood 6 years ago. He served in the U S Navy during WW II as a Lt. Gunnery Officer and then, earned his B S in Pharmacy from Rutgers University. He was President and owner of the Glen Ridge Pharmacy for 30 years before his retirement in 1988. He also attended St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna.

He was predeceased by his son Raymond Ward in 2012 and is survived by his wife Adele (Konopka) Ward of 68 years, daughter Karen Handy of Stanhope, son Steven Ward of Burnt Hills, NY, and daughter-in-law Karen Ward of Victor, NY. He also leaves his 8 grandchildren; Gretchen Mancuso, Matthew Handy, Michael Ward, Erin Handy, and Kevin, Stephanie, Kelsey, and Ryland Ward, and 5 great grandchildren; Ella and Jenna, and Kelly Mancuso, and Nolan and Isla Rae Ward.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, 10:30 am, at St. Therese R C Church, 151 Main Street, Succasunna, with military honors at the conclusion of the Mass.
