Port Charlotte, FL  Mr. Robert James Lindsay, 72, of Port Charlotte, Fl died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 following a long illness. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and became the son of James and Katherine Lindsay. Bob married Catherine Weaver on July 5, 1985 in Succasunna, NJ, and relocated to Port Charlotte in 1998 from Powder Springs, GA. Bob graduated from the South Plainfield school system, South Plainfield, NJ. He also served in the U S Army from 1963-1965. Bob worked at Micropol as Chief Draftsman in Summit, NJ for over 20 years.

Bob is survived by his wife Catherine and 2 step-daughters ; Cheryl  (and Robert) Re and Christine Teichert, sister Linda Redfield, brothers; Peter Lindsay and Jack Kwitowski, and nieces and nephew, and Pop Pop to Trevor, Kevin, Samantha and Shawn. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Catherine O’Hara, and step-daughter Susan Weaver.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, at the  Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St, Succasunna, NJ 07876 (www.davishepplewhitefh.com). Interment at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s name to the Tidewell Hospice, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. Also a special thanks to Dr. Ivor Percent of Florida Cancer Center for his special care.
