Mt. Olive Township,  Mr. Richard “Rick” Miciek, Jr., 35, died on June 16, 2015 at his home in Budd Lake. He was born in Denville and grew up in Mt. Arlington, graduating Roxbury High School in 1998 and then graduated from Ohio State University in 2003 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He then served in the U S Army from 2008 to 2010. He moved to Budd Lake 3 years ago. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and member of the Pleasant Ridge Hunting Club in Mountainhome, PA and member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his mother Jaime Reinhold of Ledgewood, father Richard Miciek of Clark. He also leaves his sister Loren (and Michael) Montalto of Cranberry Twp. PA, and niece and god-daughter Gianna and nephew Ian. He was predeceased by his step-father Les Reinhold in 2004.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Saturday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, 10 am at St. Therese R C Church, Main St, Succasunna, NJ, with the entombment to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Donations may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Foundation.
