Marjorie Lines

Roxbury Township, Mrs. Marjorie Fieckert Lines, 86, died peacefully in her home in Succasunna N.J. on June 9, 2018 surrounded by her immediate family.

Marjorie was married to Rev. Neil Malcolm Lines for 34 years before he passed away in 1995. She is survived by her son Fred Lines, her daughter Heather Lines-Degelman and spouse Wayne, and her son Neil Lines and spouse Jessica. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Malcolm Lines Sr. She was a loving Grandmother to Maya, Jacob, Caleb, Seth, and Josiah.

She was born in 1931 in Kearny N.J. where she began her teaching career at Schyler Elementary School as a kindergarten teacher after graduating from Newark State Teachers College in the 1950’s. She finished her career teaching kindergarten in the Roxbury school system for 18 years. She retired at age 80!

Marjorie was a life long member of The Mount Olive Baptist Church in Budd Lake N.J., now called The Mount Olive Community Bible Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, various women’s ministries and church programs for over 50 years. One of her most enjoyable ministries was playing the piano at the Church Service Sunday after Sunday after Sunday. At the age of 9 she could play Clair De Lune by heart, her favorite piece.

Marjorie was very artistic and incorporated her creativity into all aspects of her life. She loved vacationing on the Jersey Shore with her family for many years. Her family were the most important people to her to which she cared for and nurtured. The most important personin her life is Jesus Christ, who she committed herself to as her Savior and Lord. On June 9,2018, Marjorie entered into the presence of the Lord and rejoined many of her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on June 14th at 7pm, at The Mount Olive Community Bible Church in Budd Lake, N.J., next to the Mount Olive Municipal Complex. GPS 204 Flanders-Drakestown road, Budd Lake, 07828. Phone 862 219 9745 to contact the Pastor.

In lieu of Flower Donations , send monetary gifts in memory of Marjorie to The Mount Olive Community Bible Church, PO Box 447, Flanders NJ, 07836 . The monies will be used to create a plaque for Rev. Neil and Marjorie Lines many years of service to the Church, or to the Church Memorial Fund in her name.
