Roxbury Township, Leiborio Ditta, “Uncle Leibo”, 91, went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2018 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. He was born and lived in New York City (in the lower east side) before moving to Succasunna 4 years ago. He served in the U S Army during WW II and the Korean War. He was employed by the I B M Company as a machinist, and previously owned a bar in the Bronx. He loved the silent movies and the first “talkies”, and was an avid stamp and coin collector. He was a member of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna.

He is survived by his brother Joseph Ditta of Brooklyn,  great niece Hope (and Nestor) Gonzales of Succasunna, and great-great nieces; Chloe and Isabelle Gonzales. He was predeceased by his brother Stephen Ditta last year, and sister Lena Sardina in 2008.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Thursday (January 18^th) from 4 – 6 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, (January 19^th) 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church, with the interment to follow at the Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
