Rockaway Township, Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Joseph Klein, Sr., 67, died on December 15, 2015 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was born and raised in Queens, NY and lived in Succasunna for 41 years before moving to Rockaway Township 9 months ago. He was a retired Tractor Trailer Driver in the Teamsters Union Local 560 in Union City and drove for the Canny Trucking Co in Elizabeth for 27 years and then for Consolidated Freight in Ledgewood. He then was “the” Dial-A-Ride driver for Roxbury Township for 12 years, and then did catering for the “Dog Pound” food truck with his nephew Christopher Stahl. He was an umpire and crew chief for the Roxbury Township Little League for many years and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R C Church in Flanders.

He is survived by his wife Virginia (Stahl) Klein of 45 years, 3 children; Lawrence J Jr (and Janice) Klein of Succasunna, Karen (and Brian) Byank of Framingham, MA, and Thomas (and Robyn) Klein of West Milford. He also leaves his sister Carol DiDomenico of NY, and 6 grandchildren; Lauren and Justin Klein, Matthew and Katie Byank, and Madison and Braden Klein.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, (973-584-7264) (www.davishepplewhitefh.com) on Thursday from 3 – 5  & 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday 10 am, at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R C Church, 61 Main Street, Flanders, NJ.
