Kenton Lee Fisher passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025 with his wife Kathy by his side.
Skip, as he was known to his family and friends, was born in San Francisco in 1960. He grew up in and spent the majority of his life in Pennsylvania. By the time he was 20, he owned his own home where he lived until his “Jersey girl” convinced him to move to Kenvil in 2013.
He was a counselor at River Crest in Mont Clare PA, worked in construction, and retired from Penco as a steel worker, where he was also a union shop steward. He dabbled in politics and even ran for union president when he was still working. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years in Pennsylvania. Skip enjoyed traveling, going to amusement parks (especially roller coasters), and trying just about any type of food. Even though he could no longer drive due to his failing eyesight, he never lost his love of cars. He restored many older cars and continued to repair and perform general maintenance on current household vehicles.
Skip is survived by his wife Kathy (McConnell, Wizner), his sister Patricia Coyle of Florida, a brother, two sons, many cousins and some very special friends. He was predeceased by his parents and a daughter Amanda.
One of Skip’s wisdoms (and he had many) was “If money can fix it and nobody died, then it doesn’t matter.” Well Skip, it does matter and so did you.
Arrangements are being made through Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ. (973-584-7264).
