Mt. Arlington, NJ, Mrs. Kathleen Price Blechar, 77, died on April 27, 2025 at her home. She was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Livingston before moving to Mt. Arlington 8 months ago. She was a retired History and Social Studies Teacher at Mother Seton Regional H S in Clark, NJ. She earned her Master’s Degree in History Education from Seton Hall University in 1974. Kathy loved her family and friends and always had a kind word to say about everyone.  She loved all things related to history and was constantly learning. Every night her and John would watch Jeopardy to keep their minds sharp. She loved teaching and continued to stay in touch with so many colleagues and students long after she retired.  Her favorite thing to do was shop and her love of shoes was infamous. She never turned down an opportunity to go shopping whether it was with her best friend Pat or in the later years with her daughter. Everything always matched, she passed all of this on to her daughter. Kathy was a loving wife, mommy, sister, teacher and friend. Heaven may have gained an angel but the world lost an amazing human being.

She is survived by her husband John G Blechar of 55 years, daughter Jessica Lindsey Blechar of Mt. Arlington. She also leaves her brother Kevin (and Debbie) Price of Fl, sister; Doreen (and Steve) Sabella of NJ , and sisters-in-law Judy (and Jim) Peters and Vicki (and Tony) Delmont, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 2nd, at 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church, Succasunna. The entombment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
