Roxbury Township,  Mrs. Julia Mistretta, 98, died on October 10, 2012 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. She was born in Bayonne, and lived in Jersey City for many years, before moving to Succasunna 25 years ago. She was a homemaker and previously worked as a supervisor at Maiden Form and then as a bookkeeper for the Emerson Electronics Co. She was a loving mother and grandmother who also loved crossword puzzles and cooking.

 She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2000 and is survived by her 2 daughters;  Judith (and Nicholas) Tauro of Dumont and Jo Ann (and Joseph) Gallagher with whom she lived in Succasunna. She also leaves her 6 grandchildren; Adrienne (and Scott) Greenberg, Gina Tauro, Suzanne (and John) Tornillo, Joseph (and Suzette) Gallagher, Nicholas (and Jesse Tatum) Tauro, and Lynne (and Matt) Coulter, 10 great grandchildren, a sister-in-laws; Carmela Vitale and Gerri LaPalerma.

 Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com on Friday from 3 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, 10 am, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton  R C Church in Flanders. The interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
