Roxbury Township, Mrs. Josephine Stagnitti, 92, died on January 9, 2016 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. She was born in Riposto, Sicily and lived in Secaucus before moving to Succasunna 14 years ago. She came to the United States in 1969 and lived in Jersey City. She was a personal seamstress in Jersey City for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband Sebastian Stagnitti in 1979, and is survived by her son Leonard (Elly) Stagnitti of Hackettstown, and John (Susan) Stagnitti of FL. Grandchildren; Lisa, Jonny, Marc Anthony, Steven, Jessica. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, (973-584-7264) (www.davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday, from 8:30 – 9:30 am. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, 10 am at St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna, with the Internment to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst, NJ.
