John S Glinko

Roxbury Township, Mr, John S Glinko, 85, died on February 9, 2018 at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born and raised in Taylor, PA and moved to Succasunna 55 years ago. After high school he worked for the Erie Lackawana Rail Road and then served in the U S Army during the Korean War, before returning to the Railroad. He was the owner and chef at Chris’s Kitchen in Denville from 1967-1994. He was a member of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, and was a Disabled American Veteran, and took great pride in his grandchildren’s lives.

He is survived by his wife Christiana (Gerlach) Glinko of 62 years, 4 children; Stanley (and Sylvia) Glinko of Florham Park, John (and Deborah) Glinko of Hardwick, James (and Donna) Glinko of East Hanover, and Cynthia (and Matthew) Stella of Mansfield, 2 sisters; Evelyn Pero of Old Forge, PA and Dolores (and Ed) Pry of Taylor, PA. He also leaves his 10 grandchildren; Carissa Griffith, Kristin Glinko, Crystal Lynne Fedeli, JohnT Glinko, Daniel John Glinko, Lauren Glinko, Alexis Stella, Jenna Nicole Glinko, Gianna Grace Stella, and Matthew John Stella, a greatgranddaughter Christiana Grace Fedeli,and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law James Pero.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday from 3 – 6 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, with the interment to follow at St Peter and Paul R C Cemetery in Taylor, PA.
