Roxbury Township, Mrs. Janet L Gedicke, 85, died on December 8, 2018 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. She was born in Plainfield and grew up in Bloomfield and moved to Philadelphia, before moving to Landing in 1963.

She was a very active member and Elder in the Succasunna First Presbyterian Church and treasurer of the Presbyterian Women. She loved baking, sewing, and always being there for her family.

She was the daughter of the late Hans and Johanna Bertram. She is survived by her husband Harry L Gedicke of 66 years, and by her 3 sons; Harry W (and Kim) of Landing, Donald (and Pam) of Hampton Township, and Ken (and Eileen) of VA. She also leaves her 6 grandchildren; David (and Tara), Kevin (and Fiance Nare), Carrie (and James), Erin, Elise, and Emily (and Brandon), her 5 great grandchildren; Nathan, Eleanor, Hannah, Mason, and Alexander, and brother Otto (and Evelyn) Bertram.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ  973-584-7264  (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Monday, from 4 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 10 am, at First Presbyterian Church, Succasunna, followed by the interment at the Church Cemetery.
