Chester, NJ.   Mr. James Alexander Cowap, 87, passed away after a short illness on December 8, 2020 at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Newark and moved to Chester many years ago.

He served in the U S Army 82^nd Airborne Division in Fayetteville, NC and also retired from the National Guard. He was a very proud American. He retired as a lineman for P S E & G and later worked at the Shop-Rite.

James was predeceased by his wife Mary T Cowap in 2016 and by his infant daughter Suzanne in 1967. He was the son of the late James A Cowap and Sophia (Rodger) Cowap. He is survived by his 7 children, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and by his brother Kenneth Cowap.
