Irene M Biros

Cranberry, NJ: Mrs. Irene M. Biros, 91, died on September 13,2021, at The Elms of Cranberry. She was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, and graduated from Coughlin High School. After marrying in 1952, Irene moved to Passaic and Wallington, NJ; then, later to Randolph, NJ, where she resided for over 50 years. For the past five years, she resided in Cranberry, NJ.

Irene was predeceased by her husband of fifty-six years, Bernard E. Biros, in 2008. Irene was the daughter of John and Julia Drumetski and she is survived by one sister, Kathleen Horos, of Pennsylvania, one brother, William Drumetski, of Texas, 3 daughters: Bernice Burns of Morris Plains, NJ, Linda and Paul Hammonds of Georgia, Barbara and David Raisch of Manahawkin, NJ. Irene also leaves her five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Irene worked at Stuhl Engraving for approximately 20 years. She was a founding member of St. Matthew’s R.C. Church in lronia. In addition, she was formerly an active member of Saint Tereasa’s in Succasunna, assisted during numerous church activities, as well as, worked along side of Bernard, her husband, during VFW events. Irene contributed to numerous charities, both local and national organizations.

Irene was also proud of her Polish heritage, passing on its rich customs to her daughters, grand children and great grandchildren, especially during the holidays.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, 10:00 AM, at St. Matthew’s R.C. Church, Ironia. The interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.
