Herman “Hank” Wurster

Roxbury Township, Mr. Herman “Hank” F Wurster, 91, died on November 3, 2016 at Merry Heart Nursing Home. He was born and raised in Newark and lived in Landing for the past 60 years. He was a retired District Manager for the Bell Telephone Company in Newark where he worked for 47 years. He was a Past Grand Master and 68 year member of the Kane Lodge F & A F in Morristown and, the West Side United Methodist Church in Hopatcong. He also served as a past president and member for 15 years, of the Roxbury Board of Education, and served on The Planning Board and Zoning Board, and was a recipient of the James Sprow Award.

He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Wurster in 2014, and is survived by his 4 children; John (and Ellen) Wurster of Philadelphia, Robbyn (and Paul) Meringolo of Meyersville, Walter Wurster of Mt. Arlington, and Mariann (and Richard) Bizzari of Flanders, 6 grandchildren; Caroline, Jessica, Emily, Anne, Chris, and Tyler, a great grandson Luke, a niece and nephew Judy and Chris, and 3 great nephews; Matthew, Adam, and John.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday from 4 – 8 pm, and on Monday from 9 – 10 am. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday 11 am at the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in East Hanover.
