Roxbury Township,   Mrs. Gudrun O. Ribe, 94, died on April 26, 2020, at the Morristown Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY. As a young girl, she moved to Norway to help with her grandparent’s farm. When World War II broke out in Norway, her family was stuck in Norway unable to return home to Brooklyn. She later returned in 1945 and moved to Succasunna 70 years ago. She was a homemaker and member of the Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church in Succasunna and the Ever-Young Senior Citizens Club.

 She was predeceased by her husband Odd Ribe (of 62 years) in 2018 and by her son Roy Ribe in 1999. She is survived by her 3 sons: Floyd (and Nancy) Ribe of Succasunna, Gary (and Jan) Ribe of Succasunna and Kenneth (and Kathy) Ribe of Landing, Daughter in law Joanne Ribe of Hamburg, 11 grandchildren: Kelly, Roy, Gary, Christopher, Steven, Rebecca, Katie, Lindsay, Kristin, Ashleigh, and Kyra, and 5 great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Graham, Lucas, Josh and Madeline, and by her brother Lloyd Henningsen of Randolph.

 Private arrangements are by the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ  973-584-7264  (davishepplewhitefh.com) The burial was at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Chester. Her Memorial Service will be held at the Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church in Succasunna at a later date.
