Eleanor V Manning

Roxbury Township, Mrs. Eleanor V (Schott) Manning was born on August 30, 1917 in West Hoboken, NJ and died at home on May 27, 2011. She was 93. Eleanor spent most of her life raising her family, working, and living in Morris County, NJ. She worked at Picatinny Arsenal during WW II and the Viet Nam War. Eleanor also worked for R C A in Rockaway and later retired from the Byram Bus Company after 18 years, in 1993.

Eleanor’s husband, Edward, died in January 1982.  She is survived by her 3 sons; Richard Manning of Kenvil, Robert Manning of FL, and Garry Manning of PA. She has 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She had seven sisters and a brother, 4 of which survive her; Vera Banghart of Mine Hill, NJ, Pauline Robbins of Bangor, PA, Helen Steer of Wharton, NJ, and Arthur Schott of Succasunna, NJ, and also leaves approximately 35 nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna, NJ (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Tuesday from 9 – 11 am. The service will be held on Tuesday, 11 am at the Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
