East Stroudsburg, PA Mrs. Elaine E Drake, 84, died on June 30, 2011 at the Pocono Medical Center in E Stroudsburg, PA. She was born in Nazareth, PA and lived in Ledgewood, NJ and Virginia before moving to East Stroudsburg 9 years ago. She was a retired Health Care provider and Nurses Aide at Dover General Hospital, Dover, NJ. She previously attended the Ledgewood Baptist Church and was now a member of the First Baptist Church in E. Stroudsburg. She was an avid reader and loved crocheting, needle work, games, and gardening.

She was predeceased by her husband George in 2006 and by her son George W in 1966. She is survived by her 6 children; John Drake of Gladys, VA, Nancy Good of Lynchburg, VA, Eugene Drake of Amherst, VA, Sharon Valle of E. Stroudsburg, PA, Diane Sloane of Ledgewood, NJ, and Dwayne Drake of Mechanicsville, PA, 3 sisters; Joyce of DE, Doris of NY, and Lois of PA, 26 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Monday from 5 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 10 am at the Ledgewood Baptist Church, Main Street, Ledgewood, NJ, with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.
