Roxbury Township, Mrs. Edith A English, 90, died on August 14, 2015 at home. She was born in Port Colden and grew up in Washington Twp (Warren Co) before moving to Ledgewood 59 years ago. She was a retired Administrator for the Werner – Lambert Company in Morris Plains for many years. She was also a member of the Ledgewood Baptist Church, Roxbury Township Senior Citizens Club, and enjoyed reading, crocheting, and gardening. Every year she would also bake cookies for the Roxbury Twp. Police Department at Christmas.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1992, and is survived by her daughter Deborah VanSickle of Ledgewood, grandchildren; Alysehia DeLucca (whom she raised) of Ledgewood and Fredrick VanSickle of Norfolk, VA. She also leaves her 3 great grandchildren; Nevaeh, Alexander, and Ashia, and sister-in-law Mary Andrews of Cedar Knolls.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday from 4 – 7 pm, and on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 am. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 10 am at the Ledgewood Baptist Church, with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. Donations may be made in her name to the Ledgewood Baptist Church or to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation.
