Roxbury Township – Mrs. Dorothy Ellen Chenard, 86, died peacefully on January 10, 2023 at her home in Succasunna. She was born in Glen Ridge, NJ and grew up in Bloomfield, NJ and St. Petersburg, FL. She became a registered nurse and worked at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ and later at the Roxbury Medical Group in Succasunna for many years. She was a member of the Forever-Young Senior Citizens in Roxbury Township, and was an avid Elvis fan who loved bingo, casinos, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Norman Chenard in 2004, and her sister, Alice Ridaught in 2016.She is survived by her three children, Donna (and Scott) Bellows of Flanders; David Chenard of Newton; and Darcy (and Edward) Boehlke of Succasunna. She also leaves six grandchildren – Tim, Ryan (and Jess) and Matthew Chenard; Jessica (and James) Cahill; and Jillian and Jamie Bellows;and her great-grandson, Carter David Chenard.
