Carl F Seibert

Sussex, NJ     Mr. Carl F Seibert, Jr, 79, died on May 2, 2011 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was born in Newark and grew up in the Oranges. He lived in Mt. Arlington and Mill Rift, PA before moving to Sussex 31 years ago. He graduated from East Orange High School and then served in the U S Navy during the Korean War. He then continued his education earning his Bachelor’s Degree from Panzer College in Physical Education and his Master’s Degree in Environmental Education from Montclair State College. He taught physical education, health, environmental education, and drivers education in the Mountain Lakes N J Public Schools from 1959-1991. He was an avid outdoorsman, racecar driver, scuba diver, Harley Davidson motorcyclist, clock builder, model railroad hobbyist, aeronautics and NASCAR enthusiast.

He is survived by his domestic partner Barbara Garrison of 36 years, with whom he lived. He also leaves his 2 sons; Carl F Seibert, III (and his wife Jennifer) of Alhambra, CA, and Kristian N Seibert of Afton, MN, 3 grandchildren; Jack, Allie, and Ashlyn Seibert, and sister Gayl Hammond of Lakewood, NJ
