Mt. Arlington, Mr. Brian Joseph Durkin, Sr., 68, died on September 28, 2019 at the UMDNJ University Hospital in Newark. He was born in Yonkers, NY and lived in Westchester County before moving to Succasunna, NJ in 1985. He served as a sniper in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a retired Sales & Marketing Manager for A T & T in Parsippany. After moving to Mt. Arlington in 2006, Brian became the “CPO” Chief Pool Officer within his community at Nolan’s Ridge and was also a member of the Elk’s Club of America. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Roslyn (Ritacco) Durkin of 47 years, and by his 2 children; Brian J (and Lisa) Durkin, Jr. and Lauren (and Trevor) Patterson. He also leaves his 4 grandchildren; Gianna, Ava, Laila, and Charli, and 3 sister’s; Mary Anne Nordhauser, Lorraine (and Michael) Pagliocca, and Joan (and Frank) Faraone. He was predeceased by his 2 brother’s; Rev. John L Durkin and William Durkin.
