Roxbury Township, Mr. Austin Chan, 88, passed peacefully on July 20, 2026 at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born in the Philippines and came to the United States in the early 1960’s. He moved to Succasunna in 1974. He began his career at Westinghouse where he worked for approximately 20 years. He later worked for the Department of Defense for over 40 years as dedicated Product Assurance Engineer at Picatinny Arsenal, where he was still working in service to his country. He enjoyed ham radio, running, swimming, walking, health and wellness and working.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers John Chan and Gabriel Chan and sisters Dionisia Chan and Socorro Chan. He is survived by his wife Ruby M (Hwang) Chan of 56 Years, and by his sons Michael Chan, wife Jennifer, Christopher Chan, wife Kristi and daughter Christina Mueller, husband William. His Grandchildren, Ashley Mueller, Collin Chan, Cameron Mueller and Tabitha Mueller. Also, several nieces and nephews and loving family members, including his entire work family.

There will be a memorial service where family and friends may visit on Saturday, July 25th, 2026 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 07876 973-584-7264
