Anna Mazzoni

Roxbury Township Mrs. Anna Mazzoni, 84, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at
her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in the Bronx, New York, she was the beloved daughter of Thomas Colao and Santa
Muscarella. She grew up in the Bronx alongside her dear sister, Theresa (Colao) Higgins. She
later moved to New Jersey, where she graduated from Weehawken High School.

Soon after, she met and married the love of her life, Louis Mazzoni, in 1964 at Immaculate
Conception Church in Secaucus, New Jersey. The couple began their life together in Kearny,
New Jersey, before settling in Roxbury in 1978, where they built a home and raised their family.

Mrs. Mazzoni worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Counseling Office at County College
of Morris in Randolph, New Jersey, for nearly 30 years. In her role, she was known for her
kindness, patience, and willingness to help students and staff.

She was a devoted parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Therese R.C. Church in
Succasunna, where she was known for her warmth, generosity, and welcoming spirit.

She found great joy in cooking, hosting family gatherings, and celebrating life with those she
loved; particularly her 7 grandchildren. She was a devoted grandmother who loved and
supported all her grandchildren; always cheering them on in sports, school events, and activities
and celebrating their accomplishments with pride and encouragement. She especially enjoyed
meeting friends for coffee, sharing conversation, laughter, and companionship that meant so
much to her. She cherished time spent at her home in Roxbury by the backyard pool, her home in
Arizona, and summers at the Jersey Shore.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her loving sister, Theresa (Colao)
Higgins; her daughter Terri Westley and her children Ryan, Faith, and Jack; her daughter Janet
Mazzoni and her children Lucy and Liberty; and her son Christopher Mazzoni and his wife,
Alison (Sweet), along with their children Aidan and Abigail.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and love for family and
friends touched many lives. In her memory, she would want others to continue gathering,
celebrating, and cherishing time together.
