Hackettstown, NJ    Mrs. Anna G Obom, 89, died on August 14, 2011 at Paragon Village in Hackettstown. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and raised her children in Long Island. She came to Succasunna in 1977 before moving to Hackettstown 3 years ago. She was a retired executive secretary for J C P & L in Morristown where she worked from 1977 – 1993. In 1987, at the age of 65, she graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth with her degree in business. In 1977 she became an Elder and Mission Chair at the Succasunna First Presbyterian Church. She was also the Treasurer at the Dialysis Center of N W Jersey in Succasunna since 1993, a member of the Vasa Lodge #703 in Budd Lake, and spoke Swedish and German.

She was predeceased by her husband Edwin in 1993, and is survived by her daughters; Karen (and Richard) D’Orazio of Denville and Kristina (and Frank) Maldarelli of Gaithersburg, MD, 5 grandchildren, and her sister Rose Boddy of L I, NY.

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Monday from 3 – 5  & 7 – 9 pm.  The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 11 am at the Succasunna First Presbyterian Church.
