Roxbury Township, Mrs. Anita (Woods) Youngs, 97, died on November 28, 2014 at her home in Succasunna. She was born and grew up in Kenvil, and lived in Succasunna for more than 70 years. She worked at Hercules Powder Company in Kenvil and was the Roxbury Township Health Department Registrar for more than 20 years. She was the longest living congregant and a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna.
She was predeceased by her husband William “Red” Youngs (of 68 years) in 2009 and one great grandchild, Christopher. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Armstrong of Randolph and 4 children: William (and Rebecca) Youngs of Lillian, AL; Pamela Johnson of Carson City, NV; David Youngs of Clovis, CA; and Susan (and Steven) Buldiger, with whom she lived in Succasunna, in addition to 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Tuesday, December 2 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 3 at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 99 Main Street, Succasunna, with the interment to follow at the church cemetery.
