Alan E Koch

Maineville, Ohio  Mr. Alan Edward Koch, 65, passed away on November 30, 2021 at University of Cincinnati – West Chester Hospital. Alan was born in Jersey City and grew up in Roxbury Township where he also raised his 3 children. Alan was a graduate of Roxbury High School and County College of Morris where he earned an Associates degree in Computer Science. He worked for more than 22 years at Bell Labs and AT&T as a computer programmer and database administrator, where he met his wife, Brenda. Alan and his family moved to Texas in 2015 and then to Ohio in 2019.

Alan was the life of the party and loved spending time with the family at Disney World where he visited more than 20 times, was married there and had all 3 of his children baptized there! Al loved his game shows, working on puzzles and Sudoku and baking Christmas cookies and Rugelach – when the children were younger you could always find Al helping out at school, being a story teller, chaperoning field trips, chauffeuring kids around and cheering for them at football games, gymnastics meets cheerleading competitions, baseball games, track and field meets and soccer games.

Al is survived by his wife Brenda K (Flickinger) Koch of 26 years, his children Amber (26), Brandon (24) and Corey (20) as well as his brothers Tom, Pete, Joe, Ed and Glen.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday (December 3rd) from 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 10 am, followed by the interment at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
